OUR HISTORY

Industrias Banilejas (INDUBAN) was founded on April 12, 1945, by Mr. Manuel de Jesús Perelló Báez (Don Masú), with the purpose of purchasing, processing, and marketing coffee. He led the company until 1999, when his son, Mr. Rafael de Jesús Perelló Abreu, assumed the General Management and remained at the helm of the organization until 2018. Today, the company continues to strengthen its family legacy with the incorporation of the third generation into its leadership, with Mr. Manuel José Pozo Perelló serving as Executive Chairman.

True to its spirit of innovation, INDUBAN has diversified its operations through the creation of new business models, including Aroma Coffee Service (2007), Agrocafé del Caribe (2011), Santo Domingo Coffee Shop (2013), and the Instituto del Café Santo Domingo (2017), consolidating a sustained process of growth, expansion, and development.

As part of its commitment to strengthening Dominican coffee farming, the company has invested in the development of a nursery and two coffee farms located in Rancho Arriba and Hato Mayor, where it cultivates coffee varieties resistant to coffee leaf rust. These efforts contribute to increasing productivity and promoting the sustainability of the sector.
